About The Position

Supervise and assist in all shift responsibilities, which may include shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and bin maintenance. These duties contribute to the shipping success and productivity level of the whole goods department. This position is responsible for securing the building perimeter twice a day, locking doors, turning off lights, and setting up the building alarm system when leaving, ensuring all security zones are clear and the building is locked. It also involves ensuring all daily parts orders are completely picked, packed, and loaded for shipment, assigning employees to designated areas to complete the workload when shipping needs to be completed, and confirming all shipping transfer orders in SAP. The role requires running daily shipping reports through the clippership program and FedEx standalone system, checking the picking status program to ensure all late day emergency orders are completed, delegating the replenishment of shipping supplies to workstations, and cleaning the shipping area. This procedure is key to supplying dealers. The role also involves assigning employees to receive in and replenish multiple parts vendors, expediting all receiving inquiries from other depots and the corporate office via lotus notes, confirming all daily receiving transfer orders in SAP, checking daily bin to bin transfers in SAP, classifying daily moves and new products in the material master in SAP, and running daily class reports for storage sections to ensure parts are in the correct designated areas after the put-away process. Additionally, the role requires filing daily paperwork according to vendor, separating all claims for the senior lead person, and running weekly spot checks to ensure work is adequate and meets safety regulations. When the workload is great, the role requires assisting in the receiving and replenishment process, which is critical to ensuring product availability for ordering. For cycle counting, the role involves creating inventory documents to be counted in SAP, assigning employees to designated areas to inventory cycle counting documents, completely checking all inventory discrepancies and generating recounts in SAP, running all variance reports and unblocking designated bins in SAP once documents are complete, filing all daily inventory data, and keeping all inventory production data in Excel spreadsheets. For 30-day returns, the role involves recording all packages returned by dealers by sender and tracking number, thoroughly checking returned items for damage and information provided by the dealer, putting returned items away in their designated location, and entering returned parts into stock manually using SAP. All damaged claims are filed with FedEx via telephone or online. Excel spreadsheets are processed showing all 30-day dealer returns with the reason for the return, and this data is sent monthly to the corporate office for review. All daily paperwork is filed alphabetically by dealer and month. The dealer receives credit for the returned items, and these items are entered into stock. For pierce and terminations, the paperwork provided by the dealer is checked for part locations, parts are thoroughly checked and put away according to their designated area, and final paperwork is given to the Operations Supervisor for credit and the entering process. Dealers receive credit for returned items, and these items are entered into stock. For bin maintenance, monthly reports are run in SAP to find part class changes, multiple reports are assigned to employees for bin-to-bin transfer, and storage type and section are checked and changed with all bin-to-bin transfers in SAP. This procedure helps promote speed and efficiency in the shipping process.
