About The Position
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This position an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to contribute to organizational success.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance , or related field highly preferred
- Must be deadline-driven , focused , and analytically minded
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Sage Intacct and NetForum strongly desired
- Nonprofit (NFP) experience and exposure to membership organizations are a plus
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Proactive and curious, always seeking to improve processes and outcomes
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with firm deadlines
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting tasks with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable and cash accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month‑end close
- Support revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with accounting principles
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
- Provide support for additional accounting functions as assigned
