About The Position
ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country. We are currently in search of a skilled Installer who will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar PV systems.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation
- Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read building plans
- Ability to read equipment manuals
- Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels
- Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Vocational or technical school training preferred
- Experience in solar, roofing, or construction preferred
Responsibilities
- Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs
- Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety
- Complete projects within established policies and procedures
- Ensures that equipment is weather sealed
- Performs routine maintenance on PV systems
- Responsible for assisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system
- Performs other related duties as assigned
