About The Position

Vital Energy is seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join its team. The company is a local, family-owned, third-generation solar, battery, and generator installation and service provider operating since 1971. It provides training and certifications, power tools and equipment, a company cell phone, and well-maintained, fully equipped company trucks. This is a full-time position on a four-day, 10-hour work schedule, with Fridays off. The work environment is described as friendly, down-to-earth, collaborative, and located in Sebastopol.

Requirements

At least one year of solar experience, or an equivalent combination of education and construction experience; this qualification is listed as preferred.
Solid work ethic.
Reliability and good time-management and organizational skills.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Install roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar systems for residential and small commercial projects.
Carry out basic trade instructions and read and interpret drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Follow current rules and regulations to help ensure systems pass inspection the first time.
Load and unload materials and equipment as directed.
