Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant professional software programming experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar software object-oriented language

Nice To Haves

  • Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
  • Experience developing software using Agile techniques such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/Development & Integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Eclipse, and Ansible
  • Familiarity with leading a small team (e.g., estimating effort, decomposing tasks, tracking and reporting progress).
  • Experience with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments
  • Experience with Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, and software debuggers
  • Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications
  • Experience with Network Communication Protocols and using embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as VxWorks and Integrity.
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

Responsibilities

  • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
  • Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in modern languages, Artificial Intelligence (AI), DevSecOps, and other methodologies and technologies, especially in relation to complex systems
