About The Position
This is a full-time School Social Worker position for the upcoming academic school year, with guaranteed full-time hours until the end of the school year and potential for renewal based on performance. The role involves helping students navigate challenges, strengthen resilience, and achieve their goals within an Illinois school district. The Social Worker will be an integral part of a collaborative student support team, working with educators, families, and school leaders to remove barriers to learning. This includes providing counseling services, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and community resource coordination to create a positive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement, or eligibility to obtain appropriate state credentials before employment.
- Strong communication skills.
