About The Position

Silverado Hermann Park is hiring a social worker with a Master of Social Work degree to support residents and families through the emotional and psychosocial aspects of aging and dementia. The role advocates for residents and families, helps them cope with the challenges of aging and memory impairment, and collaborates across departments to enhance quality of life. The position also includes community outreach and team leadership responsibilities. The posting refers to the role as both “Social Worker, MSW” and “Director of Resident and Family Services (MSW).”

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work.
At least one year of experience working with older adults.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and outreach needs.
Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working in an environment with animals and pets.
May be required to work outside regular hours depending on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families is highly desirable.
Professional or volunteer experience with memory impairment organizations is helpful.

Responsibilities

Support residents and families in understanding and coping with the psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia.
Promote the community to civic and memory impairment-related groups, reflecting Silverado’s mission and quality of care.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations of team members under the worker’s supervision.
Maintain continuing education through academic studies, seminars, and workshops.
Participate in in-services, staff meetings, and case conferences.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
