About The Position
The Selector II is a key member of the warehouse team responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing customer orders for delivery. This role requires a higher level of skill and responsibility, demonstrating increased efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to handle more complex orders.
Requirements
- Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist in training new team members.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Voice-directed picking system training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurately select and gather products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders using pick sheets, voice-directed systems, or other order fulfillment technologies.
- Ensure the correct quantity, quality, and product codes are selected for each order.
- Stage selected products for loading onto delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner, optimizing space utilization.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or discrepancies in inventory to supervisors.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory adjustments as needed.
- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
