About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in Instructor/Trainer in private sector security, public safety, law enforcement (local, state, or federal), or the military.
• At least 1 year experience designing content/curriculum and delivering effective training instruction to adult learners.
• Experience designing content/curriculum and delivering effective training instruction to a variety of audiences.
• Experience developing viable training plans that result in optimal allocation of limited resources.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple/diverse functional areas and multiple business unit leaders and stakeholders.
• Ability to work a flexible scheduling including off-shifts, weekends and holiday, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and refines an integrated and multi-modality performance-management training framework for all Public Safety Officers and security support staff.
• Assists in analysis, design, development, and implementation of programs using advanced knowledge of weapons (firearms, batons, handcuffs, and CEW (Taser)).
• Designs, develops, and implements public safety related training programs across various platforms (in-person, virtual, computer-based training).
• Creates and distributes training materials such as manuals, job aids, checklists, and web-based instruction.
• Delivers training on the use of training materials.
• Works within a specified region to deliver training content, including officer-level and leader-level topics.
• Collaborates with the training team and training manager to develop, refine, and deliver training program curriculum and modality readiness.
• Works from risk analyses, incident reports, investigations, and other data to identify training opportunities.
• Liaises with other functional areas across the enterprise and recommends joint ventures for security improvement.
• Assists in the design and coordination of major training events such as active-shooter and security-related emergency response drills.
• Solicits and analyzes feedback to increase training effectiveness.
• Makes recommendations regarding resource allocation and helps craft policies and procedures to improve department performance.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state security and risk regulations.
• Represents Security and Public Safety in various situations.
• Fosters a culture of execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborates congenially and contributes to a climate of cooperation across the department.
