About The Position

The Security Specialist supports the Security Manager in coordinating and executing safety and security operations and protocols for events at YouTube Theater. The role helps implement security procedures, coordinate with internal teams and contracted security personnel, and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, artists, and event personnel.

The position may serve as the Security Manager on Duty for events and as the designated security point of contact during assigned events. It requires a flexible schedule to support a 24/7, 365-day operation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. The role is based on-site in Inglewood, California, and offers an annual salary range of $61,000 to $72,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of relevant security experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google office applications, including familiarity with security management systems and software applications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, remain composed under pressure, and communicate effectively during routine operations and emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and address sensitive matters professionally.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that supports a 24/7, 365-day operation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules and operational needs.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing and walking, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb steps or stairs and balance; occasionally stoop or bend; stand or sit for prolonged periods; and reach overhead and horizontally on occasion.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant security experience in a live entertainment venue, stadium, arena, or other large-scale event environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal business partners, contracted security personnel, and law enforcement agencies as appropriate to support event security and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Respond to and help resolve security incidents and escalated concerns, using sound judgment and communicating with management as appropriate.
• Use facility security systems and technology to support security operations, incident response, and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational and situational reports to support security deployment and risk management.
• Maintain an inventory of security equipment and supplies; coordinate maintenance and assist with procurement and replenishment.
• Help coordinate and facilitate security-related training on procedures, emergency protocols, and operational expectations.
• Occasionally serve as the Security Manager on Duty for YouTube Theater events.
• Serve as the designated security point of contact during assigned events, coordinating operational matters and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
