About The Position

The Security Specialist supports the Security Manager in coordinating and executing safety and security operations and protocols for events at YouTube Theater. The role helps implement security procedures, coordinates with internal teams and contracted security personnel, and contributes to a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, artists, and event personnel.

The position may serve as the Security Manager on Duty for assigned events and act as the designated security point of contact, coordinating operational matters and escalating issues to management. It is based on-site in Inglewood, California, and requires a flexible schedule aligned with a 24/7, 365-day operation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as event and operational needs require.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of relevant security experience, preferably in a live entertainment venue, stadium, arena, or other large-scale event environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google office applications, including familiarity with security management systems and software applications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, remain composed under pressure, and communicate effectively during routine operations and emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and address sensitive matters professionally.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of a 24/7, 365-day operation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules and operational needs.
• Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing and walking, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb steps or stairs and balance; occasionally stoop or bend; stand or sit for prolonged periods; and reach overhead or horizontally on occasion.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal business partners, contracted security personnel, and law enforcement agencies as appropriate to support event security operations and adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Respond to and help resolve security incidents and escalated concerns, exercising sound judgment and communicating with management as appropriate.
• Use facility security systems and technology to support security operations, incident response, and compliance with established procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational and situational reports to support security deployment and risk management.
• Maintain an inventory of security equipment and supplies; coordinate equipment maintenance and assist with procurement and replenishment.
• Assist with coordinating and facilitating security-related training on procedures, emergency protocols, and operational expectations.
• Occasionally serve as Security Manager on Duty for events at YouTube Theater and act as the designated security point of contact during assigned events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
