As a Security Officer Patrol Incident Recognition in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic media and technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and committed to acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a media and publishing office environment.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office floors, lobbies, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and assist with directing guests, deliveries, and contractors to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting observations.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly notify appropriate personnel of security-related concerns.
