Security Officer Part Time Vehicle Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a government location in San Bernardino, California. The position involves vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, assisting visitors and staff, monitoring access and visitor activity, and responding to security incidents. Driving duties require a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal policy requirements. The pay rate is $22.49 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and provide directions or assistance in accordance with site policies.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns in clear and accurate reports.
