About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active West Virginia RN License
• Current BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care
• Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in the EMR
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and ancillary staff
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Support a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
• Compliance Employees are responsible for supporting and promoting a culture of patient safety, quality improvement, and organizational compliance. This includes following established policies, procedures, and safety practices designed to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
• Employees are expected to report safety concerns, near misses, and adverse events in accordance with organizational reporting procedures and to participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate to their role.
• Employees must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to the organization’s Workplace Violence Prevention Program, including immediately reporting threats, incidents, or safety concerns.
• All employees are expected to comply with applicable federal, state, and regulations, accreditation standards, and Boone Memorial Hospital policies and procedures, including requirements related to patient rights, confidentiality, and privacy.
