About The Position
Ottumwa Regional Health Center provides a wide range of health services, including emergency medicine, critical care services, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, and pediatrics, as well as specialty services such as cardiac catheterization, diagnostic and therapeutic radiological services, wound care, pain clinic, sleep lab, pathology, and so much more. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited LPN program
- Current LPN license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
