About The Position

Requirements

• Associate Degree required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of employment
• Minimum 5+ years of recent acute care trauma leadership experience required
• Prior experience in one or more of the following: Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Coordinator, Trauma Leadership roles in acute care settings
• Strong knowledge of: Trauma systems and operations, Trauma registry management, Accreditation and verification processes, Trauma performance improvement initiatives
• Strong operational leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all operational functions of the Trauma Program
• Coordinate trauma patient care across the continuum of care
• Monitor trauma quality metrics, patient outcomes, and performance improvement activities
• Develop and implement trauma audits, case reviews, and trend analysis processes
• Oversee trauma registry management, reporting accuracy, and confidentiality compliance
• Coordinate trauma verification and re-verification preparation processes
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency department staff, nursing leadership, and regional trauma systems
• Support trauma research initiatives, education programs, and evidence-based practice improvements
• Drive operational efficiency, financial performance, and resource utilization initiatives
• Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 8 FTEs
