About The Position

Requirements

• At least 6 years of equivalent technology operations and engineering experience, including ArgoCD, Kustomize, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and LGTM.
• At least 4 years of scripting or coding experience in a modern language; Python is preferred.
• At least 4 years as an SRE or in a similar individual-contributor role supporting public cloud (AWS) and cloud-native technologies, including Lambda, EKS, SNS, and SMS.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expertise in cloud-based virtualization, particularly AWS native services.
• Strong multitasking skills in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive, task-ownership approach and apply critical and creative thinking.
• Collaborative mindset, with ability to negotiate, influence, and develop partnerships within a team.
• Knowledge of information, network, and Internet security, including threat modeling, cloud architecture, web protocols, and common attack surfaces.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
• Proficiency in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting diverse network infrastructures, with comprehensive knowledge of protocols, performance, and routing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an Agile-Agentic engineering organization through planning, grooming, and story ideation that support iterative platform improvements.
• Prioritize security in all aspects of work.
• Practice GitSecOps by contributing to automation and delivery of a highly available platform; continually improve system reliability and efficiency while reducing toil.
• Ensure system reliability and availability by developing and maintaining monitoring tools, analyzing system performance, and implementing improvements.
• Triage issues, assess risk, and prioritize remediation with service teams.
• Take ownership of and drive resolution of production, quality engineering, and development-related infrastructure issues.
• Communicate issue status effectively to R&D and non-technical audiences, managing context switching as needed.
• Collaborate with software development teams to influence architecture and design decisions affecting system reliability and performance.
• Develop observability tools to fulfill SLO needs and define and measure Service Level Objectives.
• Fulfill regular on-call duties to support high system availability.
