About The Position

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• ONS and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required to be completed before completion of orientation.
• Oncology Certified Nurse required within two years of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
• Planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patients with an outcome-focused approach.
• Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Implementing interventions as indicated.
• Involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team in patient care.
• Reviewing and documenting care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
• Applying evidence, professional standards, and best practices to bedside caregiving.
• Demonstrating ability to prioritize care based on changing assessments and patient needs.
• Communicating with physicians and other hospital departments.
