About The Position

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (Massachusetts) or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam
• Onboarding includes a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test; one attempt; passing score required
• Ability to float to similar units and overflow areas as needed
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
• Night-shift availability and willingness to work weekends/holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for adults on the Med Surg Telemetry unit, including rhythm monitoring and interpretation
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; document care in the medical record
• Assess patient status, perform frequent rounds, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care plans, discharge planning, and patient education
• Maintain telemetry documentation, ensure equipment readiness, and uphold safety and infection control standards
• Float to related MS Tele floors and overflow areas as needed to support patient census and staffing
