About The Position

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• One year of hospital experience.
• Previous clerical experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Process exposed radiographic cassettes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Use HIS, RIS, and PACS to support patient care.
• Retrieve images and reports for UofL Health customers as requested.
• Copy and print radiographs as requested.
• Answer phones professionally and route calls to the appropriate location.
• Process requisitions accurately and promptly.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly, and stocked with supplies.
• Maintain ethical and professional relationships with UofL Health customers.
• Assist technologists with tasks that expedite patient examinations, including transporting and moving patients and completing exams.
• Empty linen hampers at the end of the shift.
• Attend and participate in department staff meetings.
• Assist with orienting new employees.
• Maintain or develop proficiency with hospital and radiology equipment and information systems required for the role.
• Present a positive image of the hospital and department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
