About The Position

The Radiology Aide supports radiology operations by safely, promptly, and accurately transporting patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items. The role helps technologists, nurses, and physicians perform their duties effectively; maintains supply inventory and organized stock; and cleans assigned work areas and related equipment. The aide also helps prepare patients and rooms for procedures, handles soiled laundry appropriately, and provides courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. The position requires following hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies and standards while demonstrating the hospital’s mission and core values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current NJ-CPR certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Computer literacy and comfort using Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items safely, promptly, and accurately to their destinations.
• Maintain supply inventory and organize stock to prevent loss or expiration.
• Clean assigned work areas and related equipment.
• Assist medical, technical, and clerical staff with preparing patients and patient rooms for procedures.
• Collect and deposit soiled laundry appropriately to support sanitation standards and clean work areas.
• Respond promptly and courteously to the needs and requests of patients, visitors, and staff.
• Answer questions with clear, accurate information and assist patients and their families.
• Demonstrate the hospital’s mission and core values as a positive role model and team player.
• Adhere to hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.
