Lighting Electrical Project Manager

About The Position
CLI Services is seeking a Lighting Electrical Project Manager to oversee lighting electrical projects from initial planning through closeout. The role coordinates project teams, materials, schedules, and customer communication to support company goals, timelines, and customer satisfaction. The position also provides daily direction and support to the project team and promotes a positive, collaborative, results-driven environment. The compensation range is $80,000–$95,000, depending on experience. CLI offers medical, dental, and life insurance after 90 days, as well as PTO, paid holidays, and sick time. Applicants must hold a valid Colorado driver's license and have a clean driving record. The workplace is drug-free, and pre-employment substance and background testing are conducted. CLI Services provides lighting and electrical consultation, product supply and installation, system maintenance, and recycling, with a focus on sustainable, energy-efficient solutions and customer service. The company was founded in 1977 and employs certified lighting consultants, journeyman electricians, master electricians, and certified lighting technicians.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on field experience in commercial lighting electrical work.
- At least 2 years of project management experience in the lighting electrical or construction industry.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and tools.
- Proficiency in the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Effective leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage stress and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must complete pre-employment substance and background testing.
Nice To Haves
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Experience with project management software tools.
- Prior experience in lighting-related projects.
- Current Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement lighting electrical projects from start to finish.
- Communicate with customers to confirm schedules, address installation concerns, and ensure satisfaction upon completion.
- Assist in sourcing materials and coordinate with the purchasing department for updates.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to prepare materials and tools for installation teams; occasionally deliver materials to job sites.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including punch walk reports and data input.
- Oversee daily work order management.
- Create and manage project timelines and schedules.
- Lead project closeout processes.
- Take detailed notes during customer and project meetings.
- Respond to customer feedback and manage necessary resubmittals or revisions.
- Provide project updates and reports to customers.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, results-driven team environment.
- Provide daily direction and support to the project team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
