About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Complete Virtus (Safe Environment) training through the Archdiocese of Seattle before working with students.
• Maintain an active MERIT account with up-to-date STARS documentation.
• Commit to completing at least 10 STARS hours annually.
• Complete the 30-hour Childcare Basics Course before working with students.

Nice To Haves

• Training in early childhood education.
• Previous experience working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues while following school protocols.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for students.
• Support the integration of the International Baccalaureate framework and inquiry-based learning.
• Help ensure compliance with licensing requirements and maintain a fully licensed classroom.
• Model faith-based, age-appropriate instruction, including Catholic traditions and values.
• Participate in school-led community events, which may include evening performances.
• Welcome guidance and feedback from Lead Teachers and contribute to a cohesive teaching team.
• Support the organization's collaborative culture by helping where and when needed.
• Monitor health protocols, assist with minor injuries, and support emergency preparedness.
• Keep the working environment clean, including regularly wiping surfaces and spot cleaning.
• Assist with meal and snack preparation.
