About The Position
Prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, roast meats, and cook-to-order items according to established specifications and standardized recipes. Inspect equipment, spices, and food products to ensure quality standards are met. Monitor inventory and order stock to maintain pars, while ensuring proper product rotation, storage, and quantity controls. Follow established safety and sanitation procedures and keep workstations and storage areas clean. Monitor food production quality and supervise the job performance of other kitchen staff.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a prep cook.
- Working knowledge and experience in most cooking styles, techniques, and recipes used in the assigned food outlet.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to reach, grasp, bend, kneel, and twist at the waist.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
