About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
• Keyboard and data-entry experience.
• Ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; demonstrate customer focus; and adapt to change.
• Flexibility and availability for weekends, holidays, on-call work, overtime, and assignments at multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Commitment to company policies and procedures, including the dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

Nice To Haves

• Medical assistant or paramedic training.
• Phlebotomy certification; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• At least two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the patient's signature after venipuncture to confirm that tubes were labeled in the patient's presence and bear the correct name.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Travel between locations and cover Patient Service Center and in-office phlebotomy locations as needed.
