About The Position
The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting patients in a timely manner throughout the MUSC campus.
Requirements
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 0-6months Work Experience
- State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from departments in a safe, timely, and respectful manner.
- Assist with patient transfers involving stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds as appropriate.
- Respond promptly to transport requests from clinical areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless and comfortable transitions for patients.
