About The Position

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Patient Transporter to join its team. Through manual or computerized job assignments, the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter, moving patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons. This is a part-time evening position.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Move patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital by wheelchair or car, using appropriate transfer techniques and routes.
• Use infection-prevention techniques during patient transport.
• Communicate with nursing and clinical staff.
• Recognize when assistance or continued guidance is needed.
• Maintain and protect the integrity of patients’ tubes, lines, and collection devices.
• Transport patient valuables and equipment.

Benefits
