About The Position

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a part-time evening Patient Transporter. Through manual or computerized job assignments, the Service Associate transports patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons. The role also involves moving patient valuables and equipment.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Use infection prevention and patient transfer techniques, along with knowledge of appropriate routes, to move patients safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with nursing and clinical staff.
• Recognize when assistance or further guidance is needed.
• Maintain and protect the integrity of patients’ tubes, lines, and collection devices.
• Move patient valuables and equipment.
