About The Position

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and two years experience with third party billing in a medical office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient registration information upon initial telephone contact.
• Greets and processes patients entering department.
• Performs discharge functions, including scheduling of multiple physician appointments, return visits, referrals and tests.
• Manages patient data, charts and files.
• Assists with patient financial process to ensure payment of services provided.
• Provides clerical support to department as needed.
• Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.
