About The Position
The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, they are interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Estate Planning / Probate Paralegal. Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 0–5 hours per week, with potential for growth over time. The pay rate starts at $30/hour.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal with strong experience in Estate Planning and Probate Administration
- Strong understanding of estate planning language, structure, and procedures
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially when reviewing documents for final attorney approval
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Self-starter who can take initiative and work independently
- Proactive and professional communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Clio or similar case management software
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and revising estate planning documents with a high level of accuracy
- Organizing and managing estate planning and probate files efficiently
- Supporting case management, including tracking deadlines, scheduling, and maintaining organized files
- Providing general support to supplement an existing legal team and improve workflow efficiency
- Providing client communication, including updates and gathering necessary information
