About The Position

University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System and located in Towson, Maryland, has an excellent, full-time opportunity available for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. This role involves working with a team of Pulmonary and Critical Care Providers in a closed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) and an Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate will be hardworking and detail-oriented, with the ability to diagnose patients and implement a plan of care for acute and chronic health conditions in the intensive care unit.

Requirements

  • 4 year / Bachelor’s Degree: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • Physician Assistant (Required)
  • Registration from Maryland State Board of Physicians (Required)
  • Nurse Practitioner License with Maryland Board of Nursing (required)
  • 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • Strong critical care patient management experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree (Preferred)
  • 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
