About The Position
The Operator I-Machine role is responsible for manufacturing custom metal roofing trim and accessories, preparing customer orders, and safely loading materials onto customer vehicles and company delivery trucks. The position is based with Metal Roofing, a roofing material manufacturing company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. The role combines metal fabrication, order preparation, loading, and general warehouse support. The employee operates metal-forming and material-handling equipment, produces and inspects trim products, verifies and stages orders, and helps maintain organized, safe work areas. Success is measured by safety, product quality, productivity, order accuracy, teamwork, and housekeeping. The position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement. Heavier materials may require team assistance or mechanical equipment. The employee must safely handle long, sharp-edged, or bulky metal materials using appropriate personal protective equipment. Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or metal fabrication experience; experience is preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience; training may be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate metal-forming equipment, including trim brakes, shears, and other fabrication machinery.
- Manufacture metal roofing trim and flashing according to customer specifications and production orders.
- Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal materials accurately.
- Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic fabrication drawings.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and damage.
- Organize completed trim orders for staging, packaging, and shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing area.
- Safely load and unload metal roofing panels, trim, coils, and related materials.
- Assist customers with loading materials onto trailers and vehicles.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
- Verify orders for correct quantities, dimensions, and materials before loading.
- Secure and protect materials to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
- Organize inventory and maintain designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving incoming materials and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Support general warehouse and production activities as needed.
- Follow safe operating and material-handling procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Work effectively with coworkers and maintain a reliable, positive work environment.
