About The Position

Jordan's Furniture is seeking a team player to work independently in its busy QC and Returns departments in Taunton, Massachusetts. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The pay range is $18.00 per hour, with a $2.00 shift differential. The company says this range reflects what it reasonably expects to pay based on experience and performance.

The role handles trash, recyclable materials, returned merchandise, and related department operations. The operator uses machinery and equipment to process materials, loads and unloads trailers, and helps keep the distribution center clean while following company and OSHA safety standards.

Requirements

• 0–6 months of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 110 pounds without assistance.
• Certification through the company Crown Lift Training Program to safely operate forklift and pallet jack equipment.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Transfer trash and recyclable material to the compactor/baler area and maintain a clean work area.
• Separate recyclable material from trash.
• Operate machinery used to handle trash or recycled material.
• Load and unload junk bedding, Shuttle, Receiving, and Recycling trailers.
• Handle, repackage, and move returned merchandise.
• Sort, transport, and process recycling material, and dispose of trash generated by the department's daily operations.
• Help maintain the distribution center's cleanliness by ensuring the floor is clear of recycling debris.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
• Perform other functions or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
