About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Breast Medical Oncology Clinic at UW Health. The RN will deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary, and coordinated care for all breast patients through comprehensive and personalized patient-centered care. This involves working in partnership with breast cancer patients and families through prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The RN will provide patient education and coordinate care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast conditions. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, including genetic counselors, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, and advanced practice providers, is essential. The role also involves using targeted assessment skills to evaluate patients during visits and via telephone triage.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant Inpatient RN experience Preferred
  • Ambulatory experience Preferred
  • Relevant oncology experience Preferred
  • Chemotherapy experience Preferred
  • Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills Preferred
  • Certification in specialty area of practice Preferred
