About The Position
The Occupational Therapist provides individualized occupational therapy services to students, helping them build functional, academic, sensory, and life skills. The role includes designing and implementing treatment plans, conducting evaluations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and guiding therapy services across educational settings. The position is full-time in LaBelle, Florida, and requires a current Florida OTR/L license or eligibility to obtain one.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in Florida or eligibility to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings supporting children with learning, developmental, sensory, or social-emotional needs.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, special education processes, and intervention planning.
- Experience with sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a mission-driven, student-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs and clinical needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across school-based settings.
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and related service providers to support student goals and accommodations.
- Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals, including participating in annual and triennial reviews.
- Complete data collection, progress monitoring, and clinical documentation accurately and on time.
- Recommend adaptive strategies, environmental modifications, and assistive equipment as needed.
- Provide consultation, training, and guidance to school staff and COTAs when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations related to occupational therapy services.
