About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA/COTA) to provide home health services in Canton, Massachusetts. The role pays $37–$45 per visit and offers flexible scheduling. The assistant helps patients develop the skills and confidence to participate in everyday activities, carrying out individualized treatment plans in patients’ homes to promote independence with self-care, household tasks, and daily routines. The position works under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and as part of a coordinated healthcare team. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused. Its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling while giving clinicians flexibility and independence. The position includes a part-time benefits package and ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA/COTA) license.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
  • Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic activities that support daily living skills.
  • Help patients improve coordination, strength, and functional abilities.
  • Assist with adaptive techniques and equipment to promote independence.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on strategies for safer, more effective daily routines.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to support coordinated patient care.
