About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Heart 4 North Cardiac Surgical Progressive Care team at Baptist Downtown. This is a full-time night-shift opportunity, with a schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role assists the Nurse Manager with unit operations and works alongside direct-care staff to support quality patient care. A sign-on bonus of $8,500 is offered.
Requirements
- Two years of hospital nursing experience.
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nurse Manager with unit or area operations.
- Work closely with direct-care staff during the shift to deliver quality patient care.
- Serve as an expert clinical resource.
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge flow.
- Take a lead role in implementing changes.
- Support and coach staff development.
- Make shift-to-shift patient care assignments.
- Take a direct patient care assignment as needed.
