About The Position
The LVN/LPN Charge Nurse participates in and oversees patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure. The role observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, and documents care in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and applicable state and federal guidelines and regulations. It includes electronic medical record documentation related to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition; implementing care plans as directed; administering prescribed medications and treatments; and helping assign duties and supervising CNA staff to support patients’ highest practical well-being. The position is at Skilled Nursing at The Villa at Mountain View in Dallas, Texas. It is a full-time day-shift position. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid LVN/LPN (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) license.
Responsibilities
- Observe, assess, and report patient conditions and changes.
- Document patient care in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Complete EMR documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition, in accordance with nursing practices.
- Ensure implementation of care plans as directed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Participate in assigning duties and supervise CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care to support patients’ highest practical well-being.
