About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Successful completion of the NCLEX.
• Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
• Willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and non-verbal communication, interpersonal relationship, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and information technology skills.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Establish personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Provide patient advocacy and help patients and their support systems understand and progress through the plan of care.
• Complete nursing interventions, medical orders, and related therapies, prioritizing work according to patient needs and changing acuity.
• Use appropriate communication tools, including SBARQ, during team communication and patient-care handoffs.
• Document appropriate information in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and internal customers; mentor, precept, orient, and provide feedback to team members.
• Resolve conflicts independently as appropriate, accept responsibility for actions, and respond positively to feedback.
• Provide routine nursing care, including starting IVs and performing dressing changes, and administer and evaluate medication therapies.
• Operate patient-care equipment, assist in critical situations including CPR, and transfer or transport patients to other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
