The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and evolution of the network and supporting systems supporting the global network infrastructure for the customer.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- CCNP Certification
- Secret Security Clearance
Nice To Haves
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration with a focus on Design and Planning
Responsibilities
- Be informed of new technical developments and trends in the industry.
- Make recommendations to management on desirable network solutions and opportunities.
- Research, evaluate and document new products and tools.
- Continually plan for the expansion of networks.
- Regularly interact with vendors for the purposes of investigating new equipment and services.
- Serve as a troubleshooter on complex network problems on all Tier 2 and incident tickets of all priorities.
- Act as a high-level escalation point for Network Administrators.
- Perform complex engineering, security design, implementation and maintenance tasks on Unified Communications Systems.
- Research, evaluate and approve hardware and software solutions for complex problems and solutions.
- Develop, review and execute complex implementation plans for network/system upgrades.
- Design and document new network elements and provide guidance to junior staff members.
