About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Network Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location. We are supporting the integration, verification, and test of next-generation aviation and mission systems utilizing deterministic Ethernet-based Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE) and Digital Backbone (DBB) architectures within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) environments. We are seeking engineers who thrive in complex integration environments and are passionate about advancing secure, resilient, and interoperable mission systems for airborne platforms.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of network administration or IT infrastructure experience.
  • Experience with Cisco networking, VLANs, routing/switching, Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, VMware.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise networks.
  • Possession of an active DoD 8140/8570-compliant IAT or IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire and maintain this level of clearance during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of an active CCNA certification or equivalent industry-recognized networking certification.
  • Possession of Network+ or equivalent foundational networking certification.
  • Familiarity with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), or other real-time/distributed networking technologies.
  • Experience supporting HWIL, SWIL, SIL, or integrated test environments.
  • Experience with network analysis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience supporting aviation, avionics, or mission system integration programs.
  • Familiarity with avionics data bus technologies such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, ARINC 664 (AFDX), CAN Bus, or TSN.
  • Experience with distributed simulation environments utilizing DIS or HLA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and network appliances.
  • Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux systems, and VMware infrastructure.
  • Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, backups, and documentation.
  • Support HWIL/SWIL lab setup, device integration, and test execution.
  • Maintain STIG compliance and assist with RMF/ATO activities.
  • Work with engineers to deploy and validate network changes.
