The MRI Tech performs Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment, taking into account an individual patient special or age-related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images. Providence caregivers are not simply valued they're invaluable. Requirements
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License upon hire.
- Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Temporary License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
- National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
- New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Performs Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment.
- Takes into account an individual patient special or age-related needs.
- Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.
