About The Position

Bulk Merchandisers work in local stores to keep our products fully stocked on the shelves and in the coolers. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and maintaining products at all designated accounts. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work. In addition: Bulk Merchandisers participate in our CDL School in order to obtain their Class A license. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. You will require above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. You will be task oriented, requiring you to be conservative, careful, and cautious in your approach to work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid AZ driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 20 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching above the head, reaching at the waist, reaching below the knees, and bending at the knees.
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull manual transport equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck) containing product loads a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities.
  • Ability to read information in small, medium, and large print.
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours during the workday.
  • Ability to walk a minimum of 4 miles during the workday.
  • Must study for and successfully pass CDL permit test prior to logging hours toward obtaining Class A CDL license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining product availability and maintaining products at all designated accounts.
  • Participating in CDL School to obtain a Class A license.
  • Managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence.
  • Riding along with a partner and/or driving a truck to deliver and merchandise beer and non-alcoholic drinks to customers' places of business.
  • Collecting money from customers, making change, and recording transactions.
  • Recording delivery information on daily delivery records.
  • Informing regular customers of new products or services.
  • Listening to and resolving service complaints.
  • Placing stock on shelves or racks.
  • Setting up merchandise and displays or issuing point of sale materials to customers.
  • Collecting or picking up empty containers of rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Issuing or obtaining customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Maintaining a clean truck.
  • Performing routine pre and post-trip inspections on the truck and assigned equipment.
