About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained. Part Time Position, 24hr. per week. Hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm with every third weekend and holiday rotation required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science ? OR ? Bachelor's in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program ? OR ? MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- Relevant Experience
- ASCP or CAP accredited equivalent eligible
- Computer Skills to include use and navigation
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Multitasking
