About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting
• BLS certification

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care and health care provider support as instructed by the Nurse Manager and Board of Nursing.
• Assists providers with diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
• Administers medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments per provider orders.
• Conducts patient health interviews including vitals, health history, and medications, and prepares patients for examination.
• Prepares and cleans equipment, exam rooms, and treatment rooms.
• Monitors clinic supplies and medications, reporting when low or needed.
• Maintains patient records within the PureView electronic health record system.
• Assists in other clinic programs as required or assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.
