About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Family Medicine department at Rawson Medical Center in Franklin, WI. This is a full-time, day shift position. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting physicians and nurses by assisting with patient examinations and treatments, taking patient histories and vital signs, preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, and managing clerical tasks. Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 36 hours a week | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 7 AM - 4:30 PM | Wednesdays OFF | No weekends or holidays
Nice To Haves
- CMA or prior MA experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
