About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• CMM’s or Articulated portable CMMs and MBD (Model Based Definition) inspection
• 5+ years of related Quality Engineering and Inspection experience in electronics, aerospace, or similar environment with a quality system such as ISO
• Proficient with Verisurf, MBD/DPD, Mastercam X7 CAD/CAM and Shoptech E2 or similar ERP platform
• Proficient with calibration and use of a variety of inspection tools and equipment
• Proficiency with MITUTOYO B-231 Coordinate Measuring Machine, ROMER ARM mobile inspection, WILSON Hardness Machine “Rockwell”

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures.
• Uses technology and tools to inspect materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications.
• Tests and measures finished products and assemblies for functioning, operations, accuracy or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
• Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
• Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
• Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.
• Prepares reports and maintains inspection records in accordance with Quality standards and requirements.
• Secures and maintains supplier quality information and documentation and other information for use in production verification.
• May perform other duties or participate in various projects in support of manufacturing operations, as required.
