About The Position
The Material Handler II supports daily warehouse operations by sorting, moving, placing, and maintaining materials such as pallets, totes, and merchandise. The role includes checking products for proper placement and quality, preparing pallets or totes for shipment, and performing minor repairs so items meet quality standards. The position reports to the Supervisor and requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, safe work practices, reliability, and teamwork. The employee primarily works in a warehouse and may be exposed to dust, hot and cold temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels. This physically demanding role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and repeatedly lifting or moving materials. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment are required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The listed pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with a 50-cent progression after 90 days, another 50-cent progression at one year, and an annual 50-cent progression thereafter.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing products and performing quality inspections.
- Mechanical aptitude for performing minor repairs and using various tools.
- Ability to follow safety procedures for moving products and working with equipment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop constantly and repeatedly lift and move materials that may be heavy.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for tasks such as minor repairs and manual drying.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.
- Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment are required.

- Experience in a warehouse or production environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely move products, including pallets, totes, and merchandise.
- Review products or merchandise to ensure proper placement.
- Prepare pallets or totes for shipment.
- Perform minor repairs on pallets or totes, including pressure washing, manual drying, removing loose wood or residue, removing sticker adhesive, buffing, and cutting foreign materials.
- Perform sortation, inventory, and quality inspections as required by the location.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support and improve team operations.
- Adjust to new work assignments and schedules to meet company needs and business requirements.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
