About The Position

A Material Handler in manufacturing handles, moves, and stores hazardous and non-hazardous materials within a warehouse. The role supports the manufacturing process through the physical and electronic movement of inventory, preparation of parts for assembly, and coordination with purchasing and shipping/receiving teams. The work environment is a manufacturing setting.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while prioritizing safety.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Proactive and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and changing environment.
• Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions.
• Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for assembly jobs by consolidating and organizing purchased and manufactured parts, pulling parts from inventory according to job-specific pick lists, and verifying and marking parts on assembly bills of materials.
• Consolidate and organize loose parts for assembly jobs before shipping.
• Identify and locate products and raw materials for manufacturing jobs.
• Verify and maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Group to ensure adequate supplies of raw materials and consumables.
• Collaborate with Shipping/Receiving to fulfill customer requirements.
