About The Position
The Material Handler II-Receiving supports supply chain operations at Henry Ford Health by receiving, verifying, and processing goods. The role maintains accurate inventory and helps ensure timely delivery of essential supplies and equipment for patient care and organizational needs. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of an accredited high school completion program.
- Valid Driver's License and Chauffeur's License obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in shipping, receiving, order picking, logistics, distribution, warehousing, or inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Enter inventory into the database for tracking and maintain warehouse inventory levels.
- Process returns, schedule pickups, and investigate issues with received goods.
- Deliver supplies and equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and dock areas.
- Engage with clinicians, administrators, and vendors to ensure excellent service.
